New York Rambling v2

New York Rambling v2 is a large-scale charcoal drawing project designed to share and evoke the essence of a familiar and iconic city, in rural and regional locations.

New York Rambling v2 wraps around the gallery walls, providing viewers with an authentic New York experience. This exhibition is interactive and uses augmented reality to bring areas of the drawing to real life. The artworks are adaptable to different gallery spaces. Installation of this project is straightforward, requiring two people and includes a user-friendly step-by-step guide. The artist is available for installation support if needed, as well as for workshops suitable for all ages, artist talks, and guided exhibition walk through.

The exhibition is accompanied by support material including:

• Explore a “Discover, Look, and Find” sheet using an augmented
  reality app to see which parts of the artwork come to life when viewed
  through a device.
• Templates for exhibition signage, floor list, material for invitation, media release.

Public program opportunities may include an artist talk that explores the international journey behind creating this exhibit. Another highlight is the Community Legacy Drawing, where artist Miriam Innes pre-sketches significant streets or buildings in the town. Guided by the artist, participating community members join in creating the artwork using charcoal made from local tree species. The completed piece is permanently sealed and can be showcased publicly within the community, typical scaling from to 2 meters in size.
