Heritage Collections Council: reCollections – Handling, Transportation, Storage and Display
reCollections: Caring for Collections Across Australia has been written by practicing conservators and is intended to provide a sound guide for the preventive care of cultural items. Active conservation treatment of cultural material should only be undertaken by, or on the advice of, a trained conservator. Before relying on any of the material in this guide, users should check its accuracy, currency, completeness and relevance for their purposes and should obtain appropriate professional advice.
reCollections is a six-volume Australian publication available for download about caring for a wide range of collection materials, developed by Artlab Australia and Australian Conservators for the Heritage Collections Council now managed on the AICCM website. It includes information about collection storage, display and handling and a glossary.
The information contained within the series can be relied upon to inform collection preservation activities.
