New National Exhibitions Touring Support Website Launches

June 17, 2026

Our new website has launched, supporting greater access to touring exhibitions for communities throughout Australia.

The website brings together information and resources to help organisations and individuals plan and deliver touring exhibitions. Designed to improve accessibility and sector engagement, the platform makes it easier for venues of all sizes to connect with touring opportunities and to access practical guidance on touring an exhibition.

The website features an Exhibition Directory, a free online hub that showcases exhibitions currently available for touring across Australia. Organisations and individuals can submit their own exhibitions for listing. It connects galleries, museums, and Aboriginal cultural organisations with high quality programs, ensuring regional, remote, and metropolitan communities can access contemporary exhibitions. By centralising touring opportunities, the Directory boosts visibility for artists and curators, strengthens collaboration across the sector, and makes it straightforward to find or promote a tour.

A key feature of the new website is its searchable index of exhibitions currently touring through the National Exhibitions Touring Support (NETS) Australia network. The index provides venues with easy access to information about exhibitions on the road, including touring schedules, exhibition themes, venue requirements and contact details. By bringing this information together in one place, the website makes it easier for galleries and museums to discover touring opportunities, plan future exhibition programs and connect with NETS Australia partners across the country.

The website has been developed and designed by Bitcraft, to whom we are greatly indebted for the incredible work they have done to make the website what it is.

Developed with support from the Visual Arts, Craft and Design (VACD) Framework, an initiative of the Australian, State and Territory Governments.
